USS MILLER FF-1091

Hey, shipmates!!

ET2 Dobry ("Dobs"; "MacGuyver", 90-91) here. I've finally managed to digitize the final cruise video of the MILLER - most of the footage was from 90-91, with the majority taken during our very final "farewell cruise" under CAPT West. During the final cruise, we took the "official" command video, and mixed in a bunch of montage shots, and the tunes we were all (or most of us) listening to at the time.

As YouTube only allows 10-minute videos, I'm posting in parts, and the first part has just been uploaded at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biVRIylXkWw. Hope you enjoy it.

I'm working on the rest of the "chapters", and hope to have them up over the next few days. The entire video is about 35 minutes long, and is the best I could do, digitizing a 20-year old original VHS tape. Please excuse the warbles in the sound at times, and the occaisional blue screen...

Thanks for the comments on the videos so far, shipmates!! Unfortunately, after posting "Part II", I was notified by YouTube that the soundtrack (original, from the video) contained copyrighted music, and as such, they've muted tthe audio on Part II - I'm working to resolve that now, so apologies for the silent movie. I'm really against altering the original in any way, so maybe Huck'll consider posting the video, in it's entirety, here. I'd really like to share it with everyone.

I'm also working on restoring the original "command video" in it's entirety, but again, 20-year old VHS tapes present quite a challenge...
