From Huck I am having a very difficult delemia that we are wanting to get some items for sale for members such as Coffee mugs hats belt buckels beer glasses. there in lies a problem since the miller has actually 2 hull no's De0191 and FF 1091 we have a double inventory problem. To me the idea of having comerative items is a great idea there is no profit to me involved(so we get that out of the way) all prices will be passed on at cost, I have a wonderful artist and good friend who is making these up for us. however i do not wish to have her stuck with things she can't sell right now we have a small group of guys growing as we speak. the problem is this on these items should we have DE1091 or FF1091 Or DE/FF 1091 or both on our design the first costs the most they get cheaper the more you make set up is the most costly if we could agree on one design that would be the best so that is it in a nutshell where should we go? -also i really wish to have unity on this item this i believe is a core idea for the miller ps i am sure we are all passionate on our service on the best damm ship in the navy . please comment---Huck

While we can wax nostalgic of having served aboard a destroyer escort, the Miller was a fast frigate for all except about three years of her existence and should be commemorated on all souvenirs as such. I still refer to the ship as a DE, but most of my time on her, she was a DE. Most crewmembers remember the Miller as an FF.

Agree maintaining the FF designation...makes more of the older "DE" stuff all the more exclusive...makes sense
