BT1 onboard April 85 , until ship got back to Newport April 88 from GITMO. Made BTC 1991 retired Aug 2000 forced conversion MMC.

Still working with boilers VAMC Salisbury, NC

David,
I believe the BTC on the 80's chat is Monte Green,
he and several of us from the Miller are members on a website called navy.togetherweserved.com.
If you find time take a moment and check it out you will not be disappointed, I spoke with BTC just recently!!

My father made steam his whole life. Worked on locomotives, ships in WWll, refineries and finally retiring from Eastman Kodak as a boiler operator. Noble profession.
